I know a little bit about everything and a great deal about a few things such as: theology, politics, sports (especially ice hockey and auto racing). UPDATE: Balloon boy busted! Falcon Heene admits on live TV that it was all for show.

Colorado sheriff: balloon boy case was a hoax. (to which I respond… duh!)

Today has been a wild news day here in Colorado. Reports of a 6 year old Falcon Heene  allegedly climbed into a weather tracking balloon device and took flight. News stations, helicopters, and authorities chased the balloon as it floated across the sky for about an hour. The balloon which was created by the boys father for storm chasing purposes eventually crashed down in a Colorado field. Sadly the boy was not in the balloon when it came down.

After a massive 6 hour long search and world-wide press coverage Falcon Heene was found hiding in the attic of the families home. Exact details of what really happened are slowly trickling out, one neighbor has reported that the Heene boys were on the roof of the house video taping the balloon lift off, and another report stated that the father called the local news outlet prior to calling 911.

The Heene family is known to be a bit eccentric and has some odd hobbies such as: storm chasing and searching for extra terrestrials. The Henne family isn’t afraid of being in the public eye recently appearing on the ABC TV show “Wife Swap“, and today their balloon boy drama filled the TV and radio airwaves all day long.

My thoughts….
Any reasonable parent of a child that pulled a stunt like this would prepare a serious butt whooping for the youngster. Yet, I doubt that will happen because after a viewing balloon boy’s YouTube video (if you don’t agree with me that the parents of these kids are complete morons watch their video and see for yourself) it’s clear these kids are raised thinking that’s it OK to use foul language and extremely crass humor (especially for such young children).

Clearly this is yet one more example of the decay of proper parenting in this country, in fact if there were any real justice in this country the father and mother would be taken out and flogged. The father of these boys spends a good deal of time searching for intelligent life in outer space, ironically the rest of us are all searching for the same thing when examining the Heene household.
