Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, worst movie ever.

We are here... and we want our money back.
We are here... and we want our money back.

I have seen some bad movies in my day, heck I have seen some awful movies in my day… but never, and I mean NEVER have I ever witnessed a movie as awful as the new Transformers movie (Revenge of the Fallen). Knowing that I hated the first Transformers movie you may be wondering why on earth I would take the time to watch the sequel (more on that later).

The movie is of course based on the old children’s cartoon which features giant robots that transform into ordinary items such as cars, planes, toasters, etc. The movie stars Shia LeBeouf and Megan Fox who are equally dreadful in this movie.

This movie is nearly unwatchable it’s so bad. The pace of the movie is frantic and the dialog is so terrible it’s beyond laughable. Several times during the movie I found myself having the urge to put my own hand in my blender and turn it to puree just to distract me from the pain of watching this horrible film. The special effects are good, but who could tell? Often times you have no idea what you are watching because the wacky editing and the motion sickening camera moves are so distracting. The movie is essentially nothing more than hundreds of music video styles segments all pieced together in a hodge-podge of meaningless bling. All show, no go. (that’s actually a bit too complimentary).

If there is a human on earth that actually thought Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen was a good movie I would love to meet them, and then punch them right in the face.

When is this movie gonna end?
When is this movie gonna end?

What’s really disgusting about this movie is it that it is somewhat vulgar and crass, I am guessing that it’s primary audience is under 10 years old so it’s a bit odd that the movie was so vulgar. What on earth were the filmmakers thinking adding in the foul language and sexual content? I can only imagine some well intentioned father bringing his young boys to the theater to see this movie and then being placed in the awkward position of having to tell his kids that they had better leave. That fact alone makes me want to pile-drive director Michael Bay head first into a marble stair case.

The only slightly redeeming part of the movie is the one Even Stevens style screech from Shia LaBeouf, it’s too bad he didn’t stick with roles like that because he was hilarious back then.

So why on earth did I even bother to sit through this painful piece of garbage? Rifftrax! Rifftrax is the brainchild and “new” venture of the Mystery Science Theater 3000 guys. With a Rifftrax Mike Nelson, Bill Corbett, and Kevin Murphy, add hilarious commentary. Watching Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen via Rifftrax made the experience somewhat enjoyable but I must admit that the movie was so bad, and so long, that even with the funny Rifftrax commentary I found myself praying for it to end.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is the worst movie ever made. Please give me your comments about the movie below.

  1. Well, me and the family liked the first Transformers, but the 2nd one is a turkey for sure. I’ve found a good cure for too much CG in a movie is to watch “Casablanca”, a real movie. That said, the recent remake of the movie “Hairspray” makes “Revenge of the fallen”, look like “Gone With The Wind”. Also, any movie with exaggerated martial arts, are stupid and actually bring down your I.Q. when you watch them (all the Transporter films, anything with Ninja’s). I’ve felt myself become dumber even when watching the teasers of those martial art’s films. I agree though, that “Revenge of The Fallen” is a terrible movie, but it has lots of company.

  2. This review sounds very accurate. I hated the first Transformers so much that I don’t think, even with Rifftrax, I could sit through the second one! thanks for your suffering through it though! You have completely confirmed my suspicions and I will avoid watching it at all costs.

  3. I haven’t seen it yet, but I sure did enjoy your review! I love your “punch them in the face” and “hand in the blender” comments. 😀
